Funktown Zoo

I've been in total FUNK. So, I decided to snap out of it, mix it up, and take the kids to the Zoo. It's been a while since we've been, a visit was long over due. We had a blast. By the time we headed home we were filthy and smiling ear to ear.

I even got camera happy.....

When we got home I gave the kids a nice long bath. They spent the rest of the night talking about all the fun they had and begging me to take them back next week. We really should do this more often!

I have some HYSTERICAL videos- piling up. I need to spend some time (this weekend) going through all the footage. The kids have been ON FIRE lately, spitting out one liners, singing at the top of their lungs, explaining the mysteries of life, and dancing 'til they drop. I can't wait to share some of the fun. 4 is my favorite age yet. Hands down!

Have a great weekend everyone! If your feeling in a funk, mix it up... makes all the difference in the world.

Feeling Better AND..

Thanks for all the sweet comments on my last couple posts. I seriously don't remember the last time our kids were that sick for that long time. It's so easy to take things for granted when all is well. It juts makes us appreciate having healthy kids so much more. Ya know? Anyway, we are finally doing better and getting back to the daily grind.

I have a couple fun posts up my sleeve. Just gotta catch up on some sleep first! ;)

In the meantime...

Check out my latest review post from BlogHer and Kellogg's. It's a little look into our weekend routine.

I Hired Interior Designers!

Well, that's what they THINK anyway. Luckily they accept popcorn as payment.

With 4 sick kids we've had nothing to do but sit home, get better, and color a few HUNDRED coloring books.

Our darling daughters felt it would be best to put some finishing touches on our decor, rather than in their binders. I really feel it brightens up the place ;). I have to admit, coloring is great therapy. I got into the zone a little myself. Tee hee!

Here's to another day of round the clock breathing treatments, inhalers, Tylenol, cough syrup and cartoons. Russ has pneumonia. The girls have a nasty viral lung infection with fevers. Those preemie lungs NEVER let us forget. They've been sick for 7 days and counting. Needless to say, this illness is not conducive to our normally active lifestyle. We are ALL starting to feel the cabin fever and hope to be on the mend VERY soon. Anyone know of a good place that has coloring books and crayons on sale????

Measure Up!

The kiddos have been super sick for the last few days. It's been a major bummer, but we've managed to keep ourselves entertained.

Yesterday, I lined them up, busted out the tape measure, and decided to record their growth progress. It was really fun and so COOL to see genetics at work. Our little preemies are growing up way too fast and we LOVE to CELEBRATE their individuality and differences.

Always GOOFING AROUND!
ALWAYS.
Even when super sick.

We are off to see the good doctor this afternoon. The fevers are still hitting hard and the bug has settled in their chests. It's time to kick this sickness to the curb!

I hope your all having a great week!
