I passed out uploading pictures to this post last night... ha ha ha!
It's so good to be home. Today the kids and I packed the car and kissed Conor goodbye. :(
Conor and Gen
He still had plenty of work ahead of him in LA and we were ready to come home. With our So Cal vaca over, it was time for ME to brave the VERY LONG road trip SOLO- just me and the kiddos. Los Angeles to Sacramento never seemed quite so far;).
The return trip was definitely one for the record books and I know I'm going to be laughing about it by this time tomorrow. It's safe to say I'm rocking a few dozen NEW gray hairs. BUT, we made it and all is well! Truth be told, it was actually empowering. You never know what you can do solo with your kiddos until you try!

The kids are sound asleep in their beds and it's quiet for the first time in a WEEK! I'm sitting here, looking at pictures, and taking a deep breath. It's so cool to re live all the hilarious, CRAZY, wild, happy, and awesome moments captured on camera. From Disney Land to La La Land it was quiet a trip and I cannot wait to share it all. Stay tuned!
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Good for you, I never had four little ones in a car, only two so I don't think I can imagine the noise level. Looking forward to hearing all about your adventures and seeing some pictures of my favorite peeps. They always make me smile!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't wait to see and read about it!
ReplyDeleteWOW - 4 kids and just you for a long trip? Go you!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about it! Love you!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Sometimes you have to just DO IT. You can spend all this time making up reasons why you shouldn't, that it will be hard, what might go wrong etc... but ultimately, you figure it out and then you wind up feeling really good for having done so.
ReplyDeleteLook at me talking. You'd think I have a clue about what looking after 4 kids at once was like. Not.
Once again - my Hero! I do tons day in and day out with all 3 kiddos but never done a road trip longer than 1-2 hours alone. Can't wait ot hear more about your trip!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a great time. Anxious to see pictures!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!!
Wow!! Congrats on making it without smacking your head against the steering wheel out of sheer craziness! Can't wait to read all about the fun times....Disney, how fun!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Over Memorial Day weekend, I drove from Seattle to Oceanside CA with the littlest 2 of my 6 (both 5 years old) to see my oldest, a 21 year old Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. He'd been injured and needed a visit with Mom, and got a weekend visit with Mom and little brothers. It's a LONG drive from here to there and back!! When we drove through Sacramento, we waved at our 'computer friends.' :)
ReplyDeleteThe hard part of the trip is over, and the memories will bring you laughter for a long time. Ask me sometime about my guys playing "rock band" on their cookie sheet desks to keep me awake. Hilarious...now. :)
Wow, Gen you are definitely a brave woman to make such a long trip....(just like Suz does once in a while to So. Tx.) ha ha. Glad you had a great but tiring time.
ReplyDeleteYour Texas daddy
Glad you all had a good time, look forward to reading about it. Can I ask, what has Ally done to her face in the picture?
