I think it's a combination of Halloween and the time change.. whatever it is, our kids are NUTS lately. Which in turn, makes me cOoKoo!! So today I decided to break our usual routine and took them to the Zoo.
It was GREAT and just what we needed! I took a ton of pictures/video and put them together to the kids' (latest) favorite song.
ENJOY!

Love it! I felt like I was at the zoo with your family! My son Eliot is also into the "I'm not Eliot, I'm Lightning McQueen" thing, so I had to laugh at the "No, I'm Jasmine". :-)

Thanks for Sharing. Looks like you guys had a great time. Your children are absolutely adorable. I am amazed by your video, switching from video to photographs and with Music. Girl you are not only a great mom, but a talented movie producer.
That was adorable!!
As an educator/developmental specialist, I especially appreciate how you incorporate learning into everyday adventures and FUN! Looks like you all had a blast =)

Genny-Gen~ Thanks for letting me ROCK out to my fave song at work:) I'm impressed with your pic/video skills! Love it. SO glad you and the monkeys had a great afternoon at the zoo. Hope to see you soon....next Wed maybe?!?!?!?
Hi, Gen! I love your blog! What a great job you've done with it! I stumbled upon it abt a wk ago, and have spent the past week pouring over every post, since the very 1st one in 2005!! I feel like I know your family personally, now! Ha!
After spending several days, staring at hundreds of adorable photos of your kids, it started to dawn on me that they somewhat resemble famous faces, a couple of them more significantly than the others. You might not see it, the way I did, but I thought you might get a kick out of the fact that I see the following "stars" in your kids' faces:
Russ- Matt Broderick (specifically, Ferris Bueller. This is the closest resemblance of all the kids; uncanny!).
Libby- Kyra Sedgwick (beautiful soft eyes & smile)
Ally- Ashley Greene (perky, expressive; particularly her Twilight Alice role)
Molly- Lea Thompson (positively gorgeous eyes; particularly Lea's younger years)
Google some pics of these actors, in your spare time, and tell me there aren't some resemblances!
Best regards, Angela W
Angela!
You are freaking hysterical! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! What a great comment and I can't wait to google these names to see for myself.
Ferris Bueller is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE movies.. may have to watch it soon!! Love the Twilight serie and Back to the Future! Also think Kyra S. is darling.
K, so I guess you know what Conor and I will be doing this CRAZY Friday night! Ha!!
Anyway, thanks so much for taking the time to read our ENTIRE blog and leaving such a fun comment! You rock woman! AND.. you totally made my day!
Off to google away!
XOXO

Hey Gen,
I've been following your blog for a while now. I found it off the Gerwer Quads Blog. I just wanted comment on how adorable your kiddos are. I've started making a slideshow video of them from day 1 to now. However, by the time I get all the photos saved, it may be their 4th birthday present. And yes, I am giving them a 4th birthday present. This may be weird, but I literally feel like I know you. Also, I wanted to ask, are you ever thinking about doing a Q&A session? I love the Gerwers, and have a milliom questions to ask you.

P.S. I agree with Angela!!
Oops! I think my first attempt to send a reply got gobbled up! (probably my employer telling me not to do this at work!! LOL)
I'm so glad you got a kick out of my post! I hope you & Conor had as much fun making the possible comparisons as I did! Anytime you post something like that to a "stranger," you fear a reaction like, "Who is this nutjob, and why does she see movie stars in my kids' faces?!!" LOL.
Sincerely, I am so happy to get to read about your adorable, beautiful family growing & thriving! I have two kids, myself..a daughter who is a..gulp..junior in college, and a son in 5th grade with aspirations of becoming an air force pilot! Don't blink, Gen, or they'll be grown!! What you are doing for yourselves & your kids, by documenting these early years is something irreplaceable. I only wish there were "blogs," when my kids were little bitty.
I just noticed you are on Twitter..hope you don't mind if I follow you! I look forward to following your updates!
God bless you & your wonderful family! Angela W.
