I've been a BIG blog slacker this week! So, I thought I would make up for it by doing a post in pictures!
We've kept busy and DRY this week playing around the house, breaking in new helmets, swimming our hearts out, holding newborn twins, walking the trails and loving on our new friend! Phew, it's been a great week!
Safety first!
Even when brushing your teeth.......
Those bathroom sinks can be DANGEROUS!
Libs, never far from her helmet!
"Knee pads.. nah, I like 'um better on my elbows!"
Molly wasn't a willing model with her helmet. However, she sure threw a fit when I wouldn't let her take it to bed with her!
After a busy weekend we took it easy on Tuesday. The kids played, colored and jumped in the bounce house while mommy did some MAJOR house work! It was a mellow and great day.
Coloring in BIG KID undies!
Pooped out & having a little "quiet time" on top of the deflated bounce house.
"So mommy, think we might want to get dressed today?"
-OOPS!
On Wednesday I got to do something VERY cool! I dropped the kiddos off at Auntie Barb's to swim like fishes and left for a couple of hours. While I took a break from my little people, I got to help a WONDERFUL friend with hers.
Our former physical therapist, Jenny, just gave birth to the most beautiful TWIN girls I have ever seen. They honestly look like dolls! I got one heck of a wonderful baby fix.. and NO, Conor and I are NOT having anymore! But, I sure do love them!
The AMAZING new mommy and me!
They are such sweet and good babies. My heart melted and I didn't want to leave. Jenny, I WILL be back and next time maybe you can take a little nap! Thank you so much for having me!
Auntie Barb, THANK YOU so much for taking our gang for a few hours. It was a really nice break for me and so great to spend some time with Jenny. The kids had a BLAST destroying your house! I love you!! (Barb's pics to come- I forgot to get her memory card).
This morning the kids and I talked my sister into going for a nice LONG walk with us. She brought her dog, Taylor and we hit the trails. I can't tell you how much I love living this close to the the river. There is something so free and beautiful about having deer right outside our door!
I'm not sure who is more interested in watching whom.
Our stroller really is quiet a sight to be seen. ;)
Auntie Lou Lou and her babies
Ally LOVES Taylor so much!
Happy little Libs
Russell Man with the 'tude
When we got home the kids hit the sprinkler to cool off before heading inside. Of course they had to stop and hug a few trees and smell some roses along the way.

Russ and Libs-stop to smell the roses
Love our planet!
When we arrived home we were greeted by our new friend, Birkely. She is an ADORABLE college student who has generously offered to watch the kiddos a few hours a week so I can have a little freedom and time to get things done. I was actually able to grab a shower and fold the laundry while she was here today! How cool is that?! She's been with us for the last few Thursdays and I think our little Russell man might be in love! I'm sure you'll be seeing much more of her as the weeks go on. I know we will all be super sad when the summer is over!
Birkeley and her quads!
Learning new thing with our favorite new friend!
"Do you like my mask mommy? Bur- ka- lee helped me make it!"
- I love the way they say her name.. so cute!
It was a great day today and it's been a great week. I just put four very tired little peeps to bed. They are EXHAUSTED!
I still can't believe that diapers are thing of the past... it's almost too good to be true.
Happy Friday everyone! Sending you our loves and hugs from quadville!

I let the blogging slide since I got my quad pict fix :) LOVE the bike stuff...so cute! YAHOO for staying dry, the kids I mean, ALL day long...YAHOO! SO COOL :)

Wow, you have been busy, but looks like fun! Those babies (the twins) DO look like dolls, how adorable. That was really nice that you were able to get a chance to spend time with your friend.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures and the babies are precious too and so tiny!! Congrats on everyone being potty trained too!! Yeah!! :)
ReplyDeleteGirl, you've got quite the support there! How nice! Now, don't you just love their sweaty heads from their helmets? Lovely! You are so lucky to have found this home next to the river. I love the wildlife (the good ones) that is there. As a kid, my dad and I would see how many deer we could find. Funny to see the "wild" in such a "city" isn't it?? Have a great diaperless weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the tree hugging pics - too cute!!

Magical, Gen! The week was picture perfect. Those helmet shots are so cute. Not a bad idea to wear em around the house, if their anything like my kiddos that's where all of our injuries are! And Hip-Hip-Hooray for no diapers and cute little undie-pants! Ahhh...dreaming of that day right now. Sending my love!! Mari
ReplyDeleteKd! No no! LOL.. they were making fun of me bc I had a HUGE zit in Florida.. BIG enough to name. It was pretty funny. :)

Awww...what mean friends you have ;) I thought it was awfully strange that "Zach" would never be mentioned AND in reading your struggle w/infertility "he" didn't appear anywhere!
