The forecast calls for rain tomorrow, a good day for running errands with my four favorite munchkins. With that plan in mind, today became all about the great outdoors.
I've been studding the river trail maps, looking for new places to check out. I noticed a cool park a few miles down the trail that we had never been to. I know I do a lot of river posts.. but, it's what we do! ;)
We had never gone this direction on the trail before, and I don't think we have ever walked that far either! It was BEAUTIFUL, refreshing, full of entertainment for the kids and a killer workout for me!
I took tons of pictures and really tried to enjoy every minute. With the kiddos 3rd birthday coming up I'm getting all emotional, I know, SHOCKING!;) I'm just realizing how fast they are growing up and before we know it, they will be in school. Snif snif, our babies are turning into big kids!
Enjoy the pics, I had fun taking them. It really was a great day!
They LOVE the turkey's on the trail...
"Mommy, aren't we having turkey for lunch?"
Love Ally's Stunned Face...

When we got home they were pooped!! I gave them a bath and they all crawled into our bed for a little down time before dinner. It was a great day and now, they are sleeping soundly and dreaming of geese!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day for you all! Kiddos are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing! I only have one little guy, and some days finding the energy to push him around in the stroller is tough! Sure inspiring!
You do such a great job with your kiddoes!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! AND WARM!! I would kill for some outdoor activity in the sun right now! ;o)
ReplyDeleteYou all have so many wonderful outdoor adventures! I can hardly believe they are almost three- time flies!
ReplyDeleteGen,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Libby Golden, and I am a graduate Journalism student at New York University. I am currently writing a story about couples raising multiples, and in my research I came across your blog. I would love to arrange a phone interview where I could ask you a few question about the triumphs and trials of raising a set of 4. Your quadruplets are adorable! I know you must be very busy, but any insight that you could offer me would be extremely welcome.
Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Libby Golden

We love taking the dog to that park! The train runs the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month. You can take the kiddos for a ride. I suggest an adult for each kid though...it is like the train from the show "Silver Spoons" that you sit on so I would hate to see one of the kids decide to jump off mid-ride. The barn is also open on Saturdays.
ReplyDeletePrecious babies, precious pics!!! Love the duckling picture, so fitting!!! Luv Ya!
ReplyDeleteGen,
ReplyDeleteAre you in the Sacramento area? Is that the American River you're exploring?
That park looks beautiful. Hope we have one of those parks you visit here. We have great places here but they are miles from my house.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
The lasdt pic is my FAVORITE! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteAnd how cute that the duck had four babies! PERFECT!!
I bet your kids sleep great at night after all the running around they do. Heck I am exhausted just reading about your day sometimes. The goose was really cute with all her babies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comments everyone!
ReplyDeleteAnon,
Yep, the American River is our stomping ground! ;)

Could they possibly get any cuter?? I think not!
ReplyDeleteJac
Is it just me, or do these kids just keep getting cuter and cuter?!
ReplyDeleteLOVE every single picture!
one word: precious
Gen, I am so jealous of all the areas you get to explore with them! You always have so many great adventures to share. I can only imagine the killer workout you get, pushing all 4 of them for however many miles you trek. Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteWhat great memories! Your little monkeys are going to have so many stories for when they go to school!

You must be in excellent shape! What amazing walks you guys take! I've pushed those strollers before, and while they aren't the heaviest on the sphere, they aren't the lightest either! Good for you!!! Hope you had fun!
ReplyDeleteHello McNulty Family. I am the great grandson of Lloyd McNulty of St. Paul, MN. Since McNulty is not that common of a name, we may be related. My grandmother was named Bernice McNulty. God Bless your beautiful family!
