5 Things You Don't Know About Gen

In honor of this year's milestone, I thought I'd share a few lesser known facts about my wonderful wife:
  1. She can speak a whole sentence only using vowels. It's like her own language at times, and quite the linguistic feat.
  2. She's freakishly strong. She once pulled the stove out from the wall to retrieve her wedding ring underneath. Oh yeah…the stove was BOLTED to the wall!
  3. She can "accidentally" break anything, especially electronics. In 6 years that I've known her, she's been through 26 cell phones, 2 cameras, half a sound system, one computer, and lord knows how many watches…. no joke.
  4. She uses more lotion than any other human being. Seriously, we're talking like a gallon a month of the body lotion. It's part of her after shower/before bed rituals.
  5. She has a HUGE heart. Ok, you probably could guess that one. But she is definitely one of the most genuine and loving people you'll ever meet!

Thank you for being you - and for 5 great years.

  3. I'm the same way with cell phones, Gen. I recently dropped mine and it wouldn't work at all. Luckily it was under warranty, so my husband traded it in for me.

Within the week, I dopped it again. Now there is a "glowing sun" that keeps getting bigger and bigger on the screen. I don't know what I'm taking pictures of if I use the camera and I struggle to read text messages.

I'm scared to get a new one, becuase I'm sure it won't be long before I drop that one too!

    Congrats on 5 years!!!

  5. That is so sweet! I've been reading your blog for a while now, but this is the first time I've posted. I love reading all the quad-blogs. Gen is so beautiful! I love all the humor you put into your posts & it makes me laugh! Me & my twin sister are both trying to get pregnant & are starting Clomid. She has been married for almost 7 years & I have been married for almost 4! We have both been diagnosed with PCOS. I think it would be so much fun to get pregnant together. It was always so wonderful to grow up with a twin - someone always there to play with, always in the same grade in school, always there for me no matter what....and someone always there stealing my clothes! Wait until your girls get into their teenage years & fight over clothes! HA! I think that was the biggest thing we fought about. I can only imagine what it will be like have 2 other siblings the same age. My sister is my best friend & nobody could ever replace her :) God Bless you!
